The Following was submitted by a visitor to the site...

It was many years ago when a couple of friends and myself had a spooky run in of sorts. The three of us used to work in a bowling alley called Bathurst Bowlerama. Since we knew the security codes for the building getting in was not a problem, on several occasions we would go back into the bowling alley after close to hang out.

Well, one time when we decided to go there to do some late night bowling I had a very weird experience.

The bowling alley is fairly large. It has two floors, one for the five pin lanes and one for the ten pin lanes. To get to the ten pin floor you had to go down a set of stairs. At the base of the stairs there's a pay phone on your left as you come down. On your right there is a set of lockers. To the right of the lockers was the electrical room where the staff of the bowling alley would keep their bowling balls.

Since this was before all the laws on smoking in public buildings, there was a stand-up ashtray placed directly under the pay phone by the stairs. While my two friends went to set up the lanes, I went to get our bowling balls from the electrical room. It was at this point that I realized that my passage was blocked by the ashtray that was under the pay phone when we arrived. I asked my friends if they knew anything about this and they denied any involvement.

Since there is no way for them to get to the stairs without me seeing them, I had to believe their story. The rest of the night proceeded without any incident. This wasn't the first time that something spooky happened to us at the bowling alley but this was the first with something physical being involved.

The person who wrote to us about the alley wondered why we had not heard about it before. We wonder if anyone else has anything to add to this story.
