Update - May 2009

This may be a complete fluke, but while I was at the former theatre (now bookstore) today I had what may have been an encounter.  I was reading while I sat in one of the original theatre seats down the side of the lower level when a book fell (or flew?) off the second or third highest shelf that was across from me.  Although the shelf backs on to the downward escalator I've never seen the escalator cause books to fall on the floor in all the years I've gone there.  It was a smaller book, facing towards me, that fell and rolled across the aisle until it stopped literally beside my foot.  The title was something like, "Books Men Read".  Who knows if it was an actual encounter, but I think it's a good story.
