The following was recently submitted by one of our readers. What makes this report interesting it is the second report from this site we've received about this site. Both reports tell the same type and sort of phenomena about the stairs and the apparition of the woman...
"A police station was built on Davenport Rd at the top of Bay Street at the turn of the century. The officers working this area patrolled the Annex and Yorkville area of Toronto. The station had stables attached and was for many years the lockup for female prisoners. In 1988 the building was partly demolished with the front remaining. It is now the headquarters of the Toronto Ambulance.

I was stationed at this location during the early 80's, and again when it finally closed as a police station. Many of the staff talked about the strange happenings during the nights. Footsteps up and down the staircase to the second floor. Several officers swore they had seen ghost like figures of women. There were several woman who had committed suicide in the cells in the early days. There was a loft area in the rear where hay was kept for the horses, I can remember hearing strange noises from this part of the building at night."
We have a researcher looking into the reports of this site and hope to have more information posted shortly.
