Think it's the stuff of fantasies and media over hype to hear that police officers had to be called to clear gawkers away from a very active 'haunt'? Well, in 1939 at the past home of the Ackerman family, this was indeed the case!

Every Thursday night, according to Mysteries of Ontario, the Ackermans had mysterious knocking and thumpings in their home. The particular fancy of the poltergeist was to pound on their attic door for over an hour.

On August 17th of 1939, reports of this rather predictable poltergeist had made the rounds to the point of the police needing to disperse twenty-three cars (with curious occupants) from the road outside the Ackerman home.

Unfortunately, and why this report is here, the story we have does NOT say what the fate of the house was or if indeed, the poltergeist ceased it's actions or if it still, in some fashion, continues.

...and before anyone asks, no, we don't have an address for the home.

We would be very grateful if anyone could 'fill in the blanks' for us in any direction. Please This email address is being protected from spambots.
