My friend and I were working nights cleaning 3 different buildings in Uxbridge in 1997 to 1998. One of the places that we did was the Uxbridge Music Hall. The building is really old and at that time was only used once in a while for plays or special events, so we did not clean it every night.

The first time we went there she warned me that was really creepy and she was on edge every time she went in there. She had been doing the job alone until I had started working with her. The first couple of times we were there working together was uneventful and I couldn't figure out why the place bothered her so much. Well I was soon to find out.

One night we were both in the downstairs of the building where the kitchen, washrooms and a couple of other rooms are located, I was cleaning the ladies washroom alone, when all of a sudden she came running in and asked me if I was Ok. I told her I was fine and asked her why. She told me she had heard me screaming and thought something had happened to me. When I told her that I had not screamed or even heard the screams we both started to get uneasy. We hurried through the rest of the cleaning and got the heck out of there.

On other occasions we have both heard footsteps walking across the stage when nobody is there, music coming from upstairs while we are both working downstairs and doors slamming when we knew all the doors were closed and locked and we were the only ones in the building.

A few times when we arrived to clean, the people that were still there from whatever event was going on told us that they were uncomfortable being there and could hardly wait to get out of the building.

I know that the original building that was on the sight in the early 1900's burned down and a new building was built there a few years after the fire, but I always wondered if anyone was killed in that fire and their spirit is still there."

In later correspondence the witness added the following: "I forgot to tell you about the balcony part. That was the scariest part of the building. Every time I went up there to clean, the hairs on the back of my neck would stand on end and I always had the feeling I was being watched. My friend did too. We always went up there together, never alone. The railing around the balcony only came up to about my hips, so it was pretty low and I hated having to go near it to clean it, as I always had the feeling that something was going to push me over it."

Our thanks to the witness for the above report.
