Hello, my name is (deleted for privacy). I would like to tell you about the house I used to live in. It is located in North York, on Troutbrooke Drive.

In 1987 my mother, sister and brother (I was not born yet until 1990) moved into a nice bungalow, in North York. Nothing out of the ordinary happened until four years later. One day my mother came home from work at about 12:30am, she was about to put her jacket into the front closet and then she heard some soft soul music coming from the front closet!!. After that she calmly looked around to see if there was a radio on anywhere in the house. She didn't see anything on. She wasn't frightened by this, but decided not to tell anyone.

It was possibly summertime while my aunt and cousin slept over, and the next morning my aunt told my mom about the music playing very loud in my brother's room. My mother told my aunt that my brother wasn't even home that night. So then my mom had to let her know about all the times she heard the music playing.

This I remember sort of because it was some time ago. I remember hearing some kind of dance music followed by a couple of men and a women laughing just under my room.(of course my brother wasn't home.) What is really strange is that I recently found out that me, my mom, and sister heard different music! My sister used to hear bagpipes being played, my mom soul music and me dance. My mother's room and my room were above my brother's and that's were it was coming from. Also my sister's room was above a kitchen in the basement which is where she heard the music and laughing. (I think we might of been hearing the different kinds of music on separate nights.)

One day (I remember like it was yesterday) my mom had taken out the dog and out of nowhere I heard the downstairs washroom flush. I was so scared I ran outside and told my mom. We then saw a friend of ours with his dog. He went inside the house with the dog to see if anything was there. Nothing nor anyone was inside the house.

To this day being 16 years old and believing in such things, I do believe that the house was indeed haunted. The haunting wasn't scary (to think of it now) at all. Maybe peaceful. We never saw any apparitions but we did have a lot of cold spots in the house.

I wonder if the people who live there now have ever experienced anything in the house. I will never know.
