The following was sent in by one of our readers:

On, January 18, 2008 I went to Scarborough Bluffers park at around 3pm to do some photography. I started photographing the Swans where the boat club is located. I did not see anyone else and I was all alone in that area. Then, as I was close to where the park ends and the beach starts, suddenly I noticed what it looked like a middle aged man, in blue overalls. I was not more than 50 feet from him yet I do not remember his face, but from its outline it appeared that he had a beard. However, his clothing was very unusual. First of all he was quite lightly dressed (and it was very cold that day), secondly his clothes looked like a factory workers clothing from turn of the century or 1940s. I can't really describe his clothing but they looked unlike any type of clothes which are common these days.

Anyway, as I saw him he turned around and faced towards the lake and raised his hands as if he was taking a photo, or looking with binocular.I moved closer to the beach. my back was at him and as he passed I saw his shadow moving quite fast. Then I glanced because I thought I keep any eye on him - as I glanced he was standing and once again raised his hands as if his taking photo (this is when I noticed his pants where very unusual, looked like hand tailored) - I turned around and immediately looked back and he was gone.

I did not think much of it and kept photographing, yet a feeling of uneasiness had begun to bother me. I continued on and finally I saw a man with his dog and he passed me and we said hello, then he was gone and I was waiting to get some shots of the sunset. But then again a sort of uneasiness was bothering me, almost a sense of premonition. then I slowly begun to walk back so I could leave. just as i was near where i had seen the guy the last time, i begun to feel as if someone is watching me and then chills begun to go down my spine. suddenly I was shaking and overcome by fear and then and there it suddenly struck me that they guy was a ghost and then the fear totally overtook me. I packed my camera and started moving really fast and kept looking behind me. it felt like as if I was chased out of there. The adrenaline was just pumping and I was almost running and looking behind me. Finally I reached where the main parking lot is and some people were there and I slowly began to feel better and chills were gone.

Anyway, I'm an atheist and I don't believe in anything supernatural, but this experience was just extraordinary. I don't know if you had any other reports from Scarborough bluffs and if you do please cross check it with me. I will never be able to explain the fear which overtook me and made me even run.
