One of our members wrote a story about an apartment over a shop in the Bloor and Dovercourt area of downtown.
The reader was a young man at the time and that winter season (Christmas eve to be exact) and a man and his dog were killed in a fire. The writer and his brother decided to investigate the scene after the firefighters had left on Christmas night. They were looking at the blackened balcony when they heard the sound of a dog whimpering then an invisible person saying "Shh!" This was quickly followed by a loud "NO!" and both boys saw the faint green misty outline of a man and a smaller grey mist beside him.
The authors brother ran "like heck" but the author was transfixed on the spot.
