Calhoun Lodge and The Baker Homestead in Blackstone Harbour
We have recently received reports of a possible haunting at Calhoun Lodge and The Baker Homestead in Blackstone Harbour. Blackstone Harbour is just south of Parry Sound and a popular summer vacation spot..
The witness states that she believes a former caretaker haunts the estate site.
The apparition of the caretaker has been reported waving to people leaving in their boats. Staff on the site have reportedly heard him playing his violin and walking through the cottages at night.
We thank our initial witness for the information they've generously shared with our site and readers.

The following was sent to us in 2013:
"My mother grew up on one of the islands up there - Calhoun was a lawyer/judge and owned the property and the caretaker was (name removed for privacy) he was the care taker - the story was that the caretaker stole some alcohol and then could not replace it - out of guilt ? He hung himself when he couldn't replace it - the story then was that on a calm night you could hear him play his fiddle. Also a few years ago there was a university research student staying on the property and she told people she heard the fiddle music coming from the shed one night."
Our thanks and appreciation goes out to our reader for sharing this information with us.
