I worked at Bryston's on the Park,in Copper Cliff Ontario,(just outside of Sudbury) in the late 90's. The facility was purchased by a catering firm. And I work for them in various positions.
The property was originally built as the Community center for the Town of Copper Cliff in the 1930's, or there abouts. During the busy Christmas season, as I was closing up the building and doing a final check on all the function rooms...I had a set pattern of how to check on the security of the building, starting at the top floor and working my way down.
When walking into the "Library", thru a employee passage door. There was a gentleman standing, in the dark, facing a window, wearing a tweed suit coat. The man was appx. 5'10" and had thinning, graying hair, and sharp features.I actually, asked this fellow if he need a ride home? I just assumed that someone left him to sleep off a drunk in the closed off function room. He turned to me and smiled, then, I realized I could see the rest of the room thru him...
I did have a feeling that there was always, day or night, somebody else in that building with us. He wasn't a hindrance, just simply there...
After the new owners took over and started to actually spend some nights in the building, (They worked unusual hours, and lived a considerable distance away from their place of business), the feeling of another "presence" went away. I always felt that he was there to look after the property. But after the new owners took over and were keeping the place up and giving it so much care, he was able to move on.
