"My name is XXXXX and I have had some experiences as a child in my old home. My home was located in the northend of Hamilton Ontario. It wasn't till l was about 10 yrs old that l encountered something or someone in our house.
My grandfather had just passed away and all of the family was downstairs in the house and of course we were chatting bout my grandfather and what a great man he was, and we heard 'typing'...it wasn't an eerie sound just that someone was up in the attic typing. So a few of us went to look and of course nothing was there.
A few days after the funeral we started to sense my grandfather in the house and would see indentation in his chair as if he was sitting there. But the 'typing' sounds got more profound...it was almost every day that we heard it.
We decided to ask my one uncle that had lived in the attic for many years when our family first came to this country. He said the family that had owned the house before our family had bought it was a man and his wife and 2 small children. He went on to tell us that the man was an early 'newspaper' columnist and of course did most of his typing up in the attic!!
He also told us that the man suffered from depression and hung himself in the attic!! His wife and children stayed in the house for a few weeks after his death but couldn't take the typing sounds. Years later when l was much older we tried to research the story to see if my uncle wasn't just trying to scare us and we did find out the story was true. I do believe that the spirit of my grandfather and that man are still in the house till this day!"
