"I grew up in a house on Parkland Avenue in Mississauga, which backed on to a large park and conservation area. The house was built approximately in the 50s. Some time before I was born in the late 70s my parents dug out a pool in the backyard. While I was a young child in the early 80s I thought I had an over-active imagination. Maybe I did - I was overly anxious and had to sleep in my mother's bed (who was a single mom). I remember a few times seeing visions while in that bed: the most powerful was being surrounded by fire. I asked my mother the next day if she had pillows that had 'fire on them'. She had no clue what I was talking about. When I was slightly older I still had troubles sleeping alone. While in my mother's room I had the strange vision of a disembodied arm by the night stand, that was holding a cup and saucer. It was extending away from me and kept going in an exaggerated manner until the length was almost comical, until I finally turned away and looked back only to find it gone. There were incidents shared by other family members. When I was still in a crib, my mother had an experience. While getting up in the middle of the night for a glass of water, she passed by a hallway window that backs onto the backyard. She glanced out and saw a figure standing over the new pool. It was an overly tall white figure that appeared to be transparent and in robes, who was making a diving motion into the pool, but would retract and continually make the movement. Dumbfounded, she got the water and went back to bed. The following two nights she made the same observation. On night 3 she woke my sister who was 14 at the time, and brought her to the window without telling her what she saw. My sister saw the exact same thing and screamed her bloody head off. My dad was finally awoken and ran outside, only to find nothing and blamed it on the the 'moon's reflection'. There were a few other experiences from this house, but I don't know if there's room in this space. There's a chance that digging the pool might have disturbed something. I'm told there were some artifacts that were discovered during that dig."
