One of our readers writes:

A while back, my son and daughter-in-law asked me to walk through the house to see if I sensed anything. They said, among other things that my daughter-in-law's grandmother (deceased) had been seen in the house.

I went upstairs and walked through the rooms and did not sense anything until I entered one of the smaller bedrooms, where I immediately sensed someone was there, watching me, but I was picking up that it was a male spirit. The sensation was friendly, not threatening.

When I told them all I could sense was a friendly male spirit, they were amazed, as it was actually her grandfather that was seen in the house, not her grandmother. They wanted to see if I could sense that it was male not female.

A lot of things go on at the house, doors being found open, when they know the door was closed properly. Lights coming on and off. My daughter-in-law's father is an electrician and has checked the electrical wiring in the house and found all is working o.k. The porch lights going on and off while you walk to your car, footsteps, objects being moved, the sense that someone is watching you and my daughter-in-law actually saw the apparition of her grandfather. The atmosphere is friendly, not fearful, so if there are ghosts, they could be family members.

Her parents have experienced strange activity as well. The whole family is quite happy to have grandfather sharing the house.

The last time I slept over at the house, I closed the closet door before going to bed, after checking that their cat was not inside. While in bed, I heard a distinct "thump" come from inside the closet. I knew that nothing was in there, but I was too tired to investigate, it may just have been other noises in the house.

I don't like being startled, so part of me hopes grandfather is quiet, and part of me would like to experience something to investigate.
