In September 2009 we received the following report from one of our readers.

 

"I lived as a tenant at (number removed for privacy) Hiawatha in an upstairs apt. almost 20 yrs. ago.  It started off slow with things happening such as the toilet flushing in the bathroom that I was showering in, or a strange scrawl like design drawn into the fogged up bathroom mirror.  

At different times only one of my shoes would go missing or my ironing board would be put away with the hot iron still on and lying on the floor.  My TV would go static occasionally and the lights would go on and off.

Many strange yet subtle events took place. Often times I could convince myself that what I had witnessed was either just my imagination or there was a possible scientific reason.  It was only after many months and the escalation of some of the events that I became very frightened.  

One night it "climbed" into a shirt I had hanging in my closet.  I could clearly see the outline of the body in my shirt.  Terrified I ended up begging my boyfriend to take me out of the house.  It was a long night.

Several nights later a figure appeared to be looking "out" of the mirror in our bedroom.  It looked like a very disfigured man.  I was 7 months pregnant and once again begged to be taken elsewhere.  Upon leaving we both saw a figure crouched in the stairway that we needed in order to exit.  It (the figure) was very dark and appeared to be wearing no clothes.  That was the last night in the house.  We moved out 2 days later. We did learn that a man by the name of (removed for privacy sake) lived there many years ago and apparently died in our bedroom."
