I currently live with my parents on Windermere Avenue in the Bloor West Village. When I was in elementary school my best friend would come over for lunch, and to hang out after class. I was usually the first one home, so we were alone when this encounter happened.

It was probably around the year 2000 when this occurred. I was sitting in my dining room when something compelled me to look to my right, where there is a doorway into the main hall. When I looked there I saw a young girl peering around the corner at me. Terrified, as I had never seen anything like this before, I looked away. When I looked back the girl had vanished. When I asked my friend, she had seen nothing.

When I look back at this I believe she was smiling, if anything a curious type of presence. I haven't seen her since, but there have been times that I have caught movement out of the corner of my eye, or seen movement where no one was. I haven't looked too deeply into the history of the house, however the previous owners were a couple, and they never had children. There were prior owners before this couple, however we have no information on them.
