One of our readers writes the following, please note events described happened many years ago:

"I was a teenager and my boyfriend and I went to a house party at the home of a friend.  They had just moved into the home about 6 months before.When we arrived we went to the basement rec room with all the other guests.  I started feeling vaguely nauseous but just ignored it.  After a few minutes I decided to step out on the patio and have a cigarette.  It was already dark by then.  I lit up and then turned around to look back in at the party.  There was a reflection of a young man in the window who was not at the party.  I thought he was behind me and I whirled around but no one was there.  When I turned back to the window he was still there.  He looked awful like he was terribly ill.  He was pale and haggard, with hollowed cheeks and his body looked emaciated.  He was wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt.  He looked like he'd been crying.  Then he was gone.I went back in to the basement, shaking.  I went to the small bathroom down a short hallway to collect myself.  As soon as I entered the bathroom the smell of blood was overwhelming and I nearly fainted.  When I looked in the mirror, the young guy was there again.  I called my boyfriend and he took me upstairs so we could go home.  My friend's dad (owner of the house) asked what was wrong and I told him what I saw.  He got very pale and asked me to sit down and tell him again slowly.He told us that the son of the previous owner had slit his wrists and died in that bathroom.  He had not told his family any of it so they wouldn't freak out about living there.  I never went back to that house again.


I think this young man needed help.  Maybe he was caught between the worlds or had to tell someone why he did it.  I never found out but I do know that the owner of the house had a priest come and bless the house and offer assistance.  I hope it worked and the young man is at peace now."
