On October 24th 2009 we accompanied a TDSB self interest course to the firehall. We were very fortunate to be able to speak with some of the firefighters directly about their ghostly experiences, and obtain further details on the hauntings.
The building where the fire-hall is housed served at one time as the town hall, and as the town jail. The ghostly activity seems to be centred in the upstairs where the apparitions of a firefighter nicknamed Sam, and a little girl have been reported. The "child" has not been identified, and may be from a time before the building served as a fire station although descriptions of her do not lend in identifying a particular era that she may have belonged to. Along with the apparitions mild poltergeist activity such as curtains moving when there is no breeze have also been experienced by Toronto Fire Services staff members.
We will include some photos of the fire hall. Please note that while some contain what are popularly termed "orbs" We believe these were created by dust in the environment (of which there was a lot kicked up by the 20+ people who walked through the immediate area prior to the photos being taken) We do not believe that "orbs" depict ghosts or anything that may be considered paranormal at this time. These photos are added so that readers may get an idea of what the location looks like. Enjoy!
