A reader writes:


"In 1977 I lived at Bloor /Spadina in a red brick building, still there on the North-side of Bloor. I awoke in the middle of the night hearing my front door "pop" open.  I got up to find bright streaming light from the ajar door - I opened it and there was a young girl with long flowing dark curly hair down her back in a long roughly made linen nightgown with her head tipped toward the ceiling -her eyes rolled upward, her arms outstretched from her body and I started screaming.

I moved into the back upper apartment a year later - I awoke one night to feel kittens playing on the bed then I couldn't breathe - on top of me a was a horrible small woman with her feet pressing on my chest with the most horrible face that had long straight black hair laced/sewn around her face - I crossed my self repeatedly, said the Lords prayer - she shrivelled up and fell off the side of the bed - I rolled over an looked at the shrivelled piece of something - I again was terrified.A few weeks later I awoke with again kittens playing on the bed at my feet (my boyfriend now sleeping next to me ) I then saw my naked boyfriend in the doorway even though I could see him sleeping next to me. We argued and fought in our minds- I got out of bed and we walked to the kitchen quarrelling and he told me to take out a knife and stab him (the ghost) and reach up far in the rib cage to sever the organs - I woke up screaming. Several days later in the night a vision of my boyfriend (no kittens this time) stood, naked in the doorway watching me. With a terrible look on his face - even though I could see him next to me.

I don't have any idea what actually happened - all I know is that 33 years later it still haunts me, and I can envison it as though it was yesterday. I have always wondered if anyone else who has lived there has had the same experience.
