The following experience was shared with us in September 2015
"I worked at a nursing home, and had many experiences. The majority were while I was working the night shift.
The one that stands out the most is, I was in a room at the end of one wing and had just finished repositioning a resident. I was at the end of his bed holding the button to bring the bed back down, and looked out in the hallway where my cart was. There was a gentleman in a hospital gown standing behind my cart. Not thinking anything of it, I looked away, and then realized we didn't use those gowns any longer, also that I was at the end of my rounds and everyone else was in bed. When I looked back he was gone.
I hadn't mentioned it to anyone. Later that night the charge nurse was looking down to the same area and said "Oh, we have a visitor", meaning that she saw a gentleman there. After speaking to others at shift change I learned that many others have seen him too.
Aside from this, I have had my scrub top tugged on, my hair pulled, my arm grabbed, heard whistling, sobbing, foot steps, whispers, have seen a woman's face in a window there, seen TV sets and lights turn on and off, have been suddenly overwhelmed with sadness and broke into tears at the nurses station, and so many other things. I realize that it is typical for a facility such as this to be haunted, but have never experienced so many things at any other nursing home."
