We received the following report of a premonition followed by visitations from one of our readers in Sault Ste Marie:
"My husband, my three children and myself went on a camping trip. We were to be gone for two weeks and would have no communications with home. We'd made arrangements for big white cat Frodo to have his own babysitter. Four nights into our camping trip (we'd gone to bed early this night)I awoke with a clear vision of our cat Frodo jumping through the air, ears back, teeth bared. I heard him scream. I must have made a noise myself as I woke up everyone in the tent. My husband and I got up and made a fire outside and we discussed what I had experienced. We both came the conclusion that something horrid had happened to Frodo. We packed up early the next day and headed home. On the way home I shared with the children, prepared them for what we would find upon our return home. Our cats sitter quickly came over when she saw we were home. She was crying. Told us the story of what had happened to our cat. He'd been hit by a car, in front of our house. Our next door neighbour witnessed the incident, the time, 11:10pm. Since this occurance, our cat Frodo often came to visit us after death. Often we would feel him jump up on the bed and snuggle up to our feet the way he did in life. However, if you went to touch or pet him he would dissapear as if he was never there. We were unable to see him but could feel him. This went on for years, with the children and myself.
I believe that our cat in his last cry for help was somehow very connected to me. He was reaching out in his fright. He has since disappeared from our lives. One night not that long ago our new cat, another large male was sleeping at the bottom of my bed, I awoke to growling and what sounded like a cat fight. Our new cat no longer comes into my room nor has Frodo returned."
Our thanks goes out to our reader for sharing these experiences with her beloved cat with us. It can be a comfort to others who have gone through similar experiences that our love of our pets also goes on.
