My parents rented the house in 1970 which is now the site of a nursery in Mount Hope. During their stay there, they came to the realization that the place was haunted, given that it seemed to "reveal" itself as manipulative in some way to both her and my father. Some of the experiences they had in the house included the levitation of their pets, unexplained noises, sightings of a "creature" on the property, and an intense cold spot within the house.

They also experienced the feeling that there was someone on the stair landing. My father was knocked over once or twice and grew accustomed to ducking while rounding the landing corner. Although my parents only "felt" the presence on the landing, it was reported as having been seen by two young children. One young girl who was staying with my parents saw the figure of a woman on the landing twice on the same day and even reported being locked in a room by this figure. Another girl whose family had lived there when she was only three also reported seeing the same woman in that same location.
