The following account of a haunted farmhouse in Newmarket was sent into us in September 2010.....

"Several years ago my husband and I lived in a haunted farmhouse in Newmarket that we rented. My husband experienced it first, when he was still in bed and I was just coming in from having a shower, he asked me if I was sitting on the side of the bed.  I said "no, I've been in the shower" he said he felt someone sit down on the bed and felt it go down.  

I had the same experience one day, only he (I felt a male presence) sat at the end of the bed by my foot and I felt the mattress go down.  I looked around and saw no one and just went back to sleep.  On another occasion, I woke up feeling someone massaging my shoulders, and it kept getting harder and harder.  I woke up saying to my husband "what are you doing?", then realized he was fast asleep beside me.  My shoulders were still tingling from that hard massage. I did not feel that this was a "mean" ghost at all and felt comfortable having him around.  We called him "the bed sitter". We also heard the garage door open one night and immediately put on the light and checked the garage, only to find it still closed. 

My husband had a few experiences himself, although not as extensive as the things I have experienced, so he is pretty open-minded when it comes to ghosts."
