We received the following report in September 2012:

"Just out of curiosity, have any of your researchers heard of any stories about the Hamilton escarpment? Its a beautiful area and I frequently hike through there, but I've experienced some really unusual things by the mountain brow. Especially one part of it. I will relate one of those experiences to you now.....

A few weeks ago, I could hear what sounded like a dog directly behind me... that breathing sound they make when they are hot and thirsty. It was so close, I could almost feel its breath.

Something inside me (that inner voice) told me to stop and turn around... because if I did I would notice that there was nothing behind me at all..... So I did and lo and behold there was nothing behind me or anywhere around me....

I usually have my Ipod on when I hike.. but that day I wasn't listening to music.

I can't find anything really credible on the net about the escarpment area as far as weird happenings go and was hoping you may have heard something. I would really like to hear from others who may have also experienced something weird or otherworldly while hiking through there."
