One of our readers writes:

"This was an ongoing experience during the late 1960s and 1970s at a private residence on Gordon St, in Guelph, Ontario. It always happens in the basement all through the year. There is sudden cold, almost freezing at one end of the basement by the stairs to the main house. It usually happens when my late mother was washing clothes in her old-fashioned 1950s washing machine. A very young guy would appear in 1950s clothes and haircut, but he is not in colour - more gray and white. He looks at the person washing , moves his arms as if he was going to smoke and then vanishes. This house was sold to other owners in 1973. It was since torn down to make way for a new housing estate. The  new owners might still be haunted by this. I do not know if they are being so. I hope my report will be of some use. That house also held ghost 'sounds' as well. You can hear the sounds of dogs nails on the floor of the kitchen and living at one time."
