In April 2012 one of our readers writes:
"I live in a tri-plex in Chatham,Ontario. There has been reported activity in all 3 units. Our experiences have been witnessed by myself my daughters and my husband. The first encounter was by my daughter. We were standing in the kitchen and said "whoo when did we get that new cat?" I asked "what new cat?" She then began to tell me a black cat just ran by her...that would be the first time in a series of encounters my daughter would have seeing this black cat.
Shortly after that my one cat began to act very strange. On various occasions she would hiss and back away as if something was in front of her that she didn't like. The first time she did that was in the living room, again in front of my bedroom and then again in the dinning room. One night I was brushing my youngest child's teeth. Once I was done I told her to go to bed. I was still in the bathroom when she came running back into the bathroom yelling "mama mama there's a lady in your bedroom." By the time I came out she was gone. She then started describing the lady in detail. She had a bun in her hair and wore a dark dress, purple she thought and she was standing at the foot of my bed looking toward the head of my bed.
I've heard of the other units experiencing different things so much that all three units complained to the owner. We then had a priest come in to bless the units. After the blessing the activity in our home became more frequent. My daughter began seeing the cat on a regular bases so much so that she began sleeping in our bedroom. One night around 7:30 pm my husband came home to see what he thought was me get up from my computer desk in the dinning room to walk toward the other side of the room out of his site. He then heard me talk to him from upstairs realizing it wasn't me that he saw. He described the lady with a bun in her hair wearing a red top and black bottoms...That was exactly what I was wearing so he brushed it off as my energy.
On another occasion I was in the bathroom and I heard one of my youngest daughters toys begin to meow. I came downstairs to ask if anyone was in just in her room. Everyone was watching tv. So my daughters and I went to her room to try and find the toy. Once in her room after searching for awhile the toy began to meow again. Needless to say we took off running downstairs. So my husband went upstairs to find the toy for himself. He found it and showed us that in order for it to go off it had to be lifted up and the arm of the toy had to fall. So he said it must have just fallen but my concern is if that was the case how did it lift between the time I first came downstairs and went back up with my daughters."
