We received the following report in 2010, but the actual events occurred in the 1990s.

"I worked at a toy store called (edited for privacy) in Sherway Gardens when I was in my early 20's. Many of the girls working there experienced strange things: displays falling over for no reason, things disappearing and then reappearing within seconds, a strong feeling of not being alone even when the store was empty. There were two incidences that really stick out for me.

1. I was alone opening the store, I was the last person out the previous night and everything was as it should be but the next morning when I went to open the door to the stock room something was blocking it. I pushed open the door a crack to flip on a light and saw through the window that a 50lb box of bags had fallen off a shelf (physically impossible) and bags were strewn from floor to ceiling all over the stock room.

2. On my last day working at the store I felt the presence which I called "Joe" very strongly hovering across the room just below the ceiling above a bookcase. As I looked over, one by one the books slowly tipped off the top shelf and fell to the floor. This was witnessed by two women standing about three feet from the shelf. Again there was no way this naturally could have happened. The women turned and asked if I'd seen the books fall too. They seemed totally shocked and left the store immediately.


I have no idea who or what it was, but it seemed like something with intelligence and a sense of humor. All the girls who worked in the store had experiences with it and once we began comparing notes it became even more active. The store manager was so freaked out by it she refused to talk about it. We asked some of the other employees in nearby stores, but they never experienced anything. Although I do have reason to believe that some of the night security guards had experienced things."
