I lived at 14XX Nash Road from 1976 till 2001. Not that I don't believe the haunting stories told by the woman that lived there after the fact because I do. I believe that spirits can still be around after they've passed and I'm sure there was a reason her daughter was scared to sleep in her own room.
The reason I'm responding is that I never heard of any murder/suicide happening at 1411 Nash Road. Although I wasn't there until 1976 our neighbour had lived on Nash Road 25 years before we moved there and I'm sure it would have come up and some point in conversation over the years and it never did.
Nevertheless, I found this article very interesting and was shocked to hear about the stories the lady had to tell about that house. I remember the house well growing up. There is in fact a plaza built over that area now but my parents sill reside at the same house I grew up in on Nash Road. I asked my parents if they had ever heard of any murder in that house and they also stated that they hadn't.
I would like to say that the other lady that responded needs to keep an open mind about things. She made it seem as though the family that later lived at 1411 were making stories up which they had no reason to. She denied the fact that there were any parks in the neighbourhood which isn't altogether true. Although there were no formal parks I do remember there being a small playground at the Warden Public School.
There are some neighbours that have lived on Nash Road for 40 years or so that my mother still keeps in contact with. I'll get her to mention this incident and see if it jogs any memories because I find this story very intriguing.
Our thanks to the writer for the above and assisting in our investigation.
